Together we can beat Diabetes and find a cure for Type 1!

A truly massive thank you on behalf of all the Dads Diabetes Dozen on your incredible support for our epic bike ride.

We have raised over £16k including gift aid, JDRF is a very important charity supporting research into a really frustrating and horrible condition which effects whole families and the sooner we get a cure for it the better!

Five years ago, Jack, then eight years old, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  Since then, he has had to have insulin therapy to keep him alive.  Initially he was treated with four injections a day and, more recently, through an insulin pump.  JDRF is a charity which works to improve the lives of people with Type 1 Diabetes and funds research for a cure.

Commenting, Andrew Draper said: “Following my previous rides for JDRF, I wanted to set myself and my bike a different sort of challenge.  The Diabetic Dads Dozen originally met together during our previous London Nightrider challenge in 2016 and we all felt we wanted to do a different longer ride together to help raise funds for this important cause.

He added: “We are just a group of normal Dads who help each other round when the going gets tough.“
