CO-VID19 UPDATE 27/3/20
We would like to reassure all our clients that during the Covid 19 lock down we will remain open for emergency and urgent care of our patients and for the dispensing of medicines.
This includes the normal out of hours 24 /7 emergency cover.
We are able to provide chargeable phone and video consultations to initially assess urgent cases and then to arrange an appointment or to prescribe treatment as appropriate. We are also able to arrange video/phone consultations for less urgent cases.
We are running a locked door policy and strict hygiene measures, so please ring before arranging any visit to the surgery. We will only be admitting the pet into the clinic & discussing with owner by phone/at a safe distance in car park. Please text us on arrival 07848 473116.
If you have symptoms of Covid-19 or your household is in quarantine isolation & you need to access care for your pet please discuss with the vet by phone – DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY.
Reception hours will be between Monday -Friday 8.30am- 6pm & Saturday 8.30am-1pm. Please note that our Station Road, Carlton surgery is temporarily closed and we will be working only from our main Mapperley Plains branch.
If you require a repeat prescription or have a non urgent enquiry please email us on email@example.com and we will deal with your message. Please leave your full details including current phone contact number, your pet’s name & current weight [if possible], full description of medicine requests or brief description of the problem.
Please note this includes our Pet Health Club clients’ regular flea & worm treatments. Please ensure you have at least 14 days of essential medicines in reserve at home. To assist us please allow us 3 working days notice to prepare your prescriptions.

In line with current strict RCVS guidelines we are not able to offer routine vaccinations, boosters and neuterings at this time. Please see separate page for advice re Boosters, Vaccinations & Neuterings.
All payments will be by card over the phone. All our staff are committed to provided the best level of care for your pets while working to keep both you and themselves safe during the Covid-19 outbreak and to do our best to reduce the spread of infection and reduce the load on the NHS.
