We welcome Jacqui Huxley of Apex Cardiology.
She will be coming into the practice so that we can offer full cardiology workups at Oak House Vets rather our clients having to travel to a remote clinic.
Jacqui graduated in 2003 and began working in first opinion (mainly mixed) practice, during this time she gained the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology.
She has spent the last 7 years working in cardiorespiratory medicine in referral hospitals and completed a residency in Veterinary Cardiology with the University of Nottingham.
Jacqui established Apex Cardiology last year in order to provide advanced diagnostics in the pet’s own practice, with the aim of focusing on customer service for both the pet owner and referring vet.
Her areas of clinical interest are feline cardiomyopathies and feline and canine intermittent collapse, and she has been involved in research in both of these areas.
Outside of work, Jacqui spends her time with family and friends, runs with her dog and studies for the RCVS Diploma in Cardiology and a Masters in Veterinary Medicine.
We welcome new clients from Nottingham and beyond to our surgeries
