Holidays may still seem a little way off but shops, pubs & restaurants are opening so you may be wondering why our doors are still closed to clients as we return to more routine work alongside the urgent cases. We are currently examining your pets inside with our vet & nurses while you wait outside.

We are all missing our old way of working pre-covid & missing seeing our lovely clients face to face in the building. It has been a strange way of working for us too.

However…….
Throughout this period our priority has been to ensure that we can provide emergency & essential care for all our patients at the clinic.

With the Test & Trace system coming into play we cannot risk having to shut the practice down if one our clients tested positive having come inside the clinic.

For the same reason we are continuing to work in small split teams so that if a member of staff tests positive this would not result in all staff having to isolate for 14 days meaning the practice would have to close temporarily.

We also want to protect you, our clients. We see lots of animals now each day. If each one comes with an owner into the building and one of our team was unknowingly infected we could spread this virus to many people.

We have limited space in the consulting rooms and cannot maintain a 2m distance whilst examining your pets. This is why we are relying on our qualified nurses to give the love and reassurance you would normally give whilst we examine our patients.

We need to protect our team & their families. Some are at higher risk than the general population of complications from covid.

So for now, we need to still only have your pets in the building in order to protect everybody. We will keep reviewing this as hopefully the infection rate keeps dropping.

Thank you for all your understanding as our team have got to grips with new ways of working. We know it is hard for you waiting outside but rest assured our lovely staff are looking after your pets as you would.
